CEO/Founder, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, & Qualified Supervisor
Dr. Beda Bjorn, PhD, MS, LMHC, QS is a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with nine years of clinical experience, including time as a counselor educator and qualified supervisor (QS) to prepare students and mentor counselors-in-training in the theoretical foundation, practical skills, and ethical framework necessary for success in the counseling profession.
With a therapy approach rooted in empathy, authenticity, collaboration, and a trauma-informed lens, Dr. Beda Bjorn, PhD, MS, LMHC, QS specializes in helping clients navigate various challenges. This includes anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. She draws from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Polyvagal techniques, and solution-focused therapy to help clients build resilience, gain insight, and develop practical skills to overcome obstacles to live a satisfying life.
In 2021, Dr. Beda Bjorn, PhD, MS, LMHC, QS established Rose Counseling LLC. Named after her late mother—whose middle name was Rosa—roses became a metaphor for the therapeutic process. As we embark on a self-discovery journey, we realize that we are capable of evolving and blooming into the most resilient rosebush.
Dr. Beda Bjorn, PhD, MS, LMHC, QS is also actively involved in professional organizations like ACA, ACES, FCA, and AASECT and remains up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in counselor education and supervision. As of March 2023, she is also a published author, having written articles on Sex-Positive Clinical Supervision and topics related to counseling pedagogy, clinical supervision, and counselor development.

Florencia Lapadula, MS
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Florencia is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing space where individuals can delve into their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors in a nonjudgmental environment. She graduated from Barry University, where she focused on areas such as trauma, family interaction, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
Florencia’s therapeutic approaches are grounded on a genuine and empathetic nature where clients feel secure to explore their problems and emotions while feeling understood and supported. She believes in a collaborative process with clients through evidence-based practices, like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CPT) and solution-focused therapy, that help individuals make positive changes to get closer to living a healthier, happier life.
With a strong commitment to cultural competency and ethical practice, Florencia values compassion and active listening in her work. She is passionate about helping her clients solve their current problems and empowering them to feel stronger and capable of overcoming future challenges.
Ekaterina Elagina, MS
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Ekaterina Elagina helps her clients successfully change their thoughts, behaviors, and emotions by utilizing scientific research and her knowledge of various counseling theories. Ekaterina's areas of expertise include anxiety, stress management, emotional control, relationship issues, and career dissatisfaction. Her therapeutic approach is eclectic: Ekaterina uses a range of evidence-based and evidence-informed approaches, modifying them to fit her client's unique treatment objectives according to their needs and present issues.
Instead of telling her clients what they should or shouldn't do, Ekaterina collaborates with them to facilitate change, and she accommodates to her client’s level of motivation. In her sessions, Ekaterina actively involves her clients by posing questions that allow them to come to their own conclusions. Ekaterina uses role-playing, visual arts, and creative techniques.

As our team meets clients by appointment only, our hours vary. Please call (305) 771-3385 or visit our Booking page to schedule a consultation call or a counseling session.

Scheduling an Appointment: Visit our Booking page to select the appointment type (i.e., consultation call, individual session, or couples session) and preferred date and time for your session.
Rescheduling & Cancellations: Please notify our team 24 to 48 hours before your appointment time if you must reschedule or cancel your consultation call or counseling session. No-shows or missed appointments are subject to a $75 fee. For more information, please see your client intake packet.

We offer 50-minute individual and couples counseling sessions, targeting challenges including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. Using evidence-based mental health practices, we tailor all treatments to the client to ensure we’re meeting your unique needs and goals.

We currently accept Aetna, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna/Evernorth, Oscar Health, Oxford and United Healthcare. We also offer a cash payment option for initial assessments. The cost of your initial assessment varies based on your counselor or registered counselor intern.
For initial assessments with Dr. Beda Bjorn, PhD, MS, LMHC, QS, individual sessions are $275; couples sessions are $400. Regular sessions for individuals are $250; couples are $300.
For initial assessments with Florencia Lapadula, MS (our Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern), individual sessions are $100; couples sessions are $150. Regular sessions for individuals are $175; couples are $150.
For initial assessments with Ekaterina Elagina, MS (Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern), individual sessions are $170; couples sessions are $200. Regular sessions for individuals are $120; couples are $170.
